Located at 40 Sunnybrae Ctr. is one of Arcata’s newest gems, Brainwash Thrift. Like their instagram bio says, they are an Indigenous womxn-owned, queer safe-space, and size-inclusive thrift store. They just opened their doors earlier this year, but have already become a massive force for good in the community. They have been actively putting together safe events for people of all ages to enjoy, such as their Brainwash Skate Night. They also have been distributing free self-defense kits to local marginalized communities. If you have not already checked out this store, I could not recommend going to see it more!
