There are many ways in which one can try to relieve anxiety and stress. Some tips and tricks work better than others. One that has been studied and shown to help would be essential oils used in aromatherapy. These of which can help relieve stress, relax the body, and promote better sleep.
The following are great essential oils recommended:
BERGAMOT- often used for depression by providing energy as well as improving relaxation, helping with insomnia and reducing agitation. It has uplifting properties.
PEPPERMINT- calms your nerves and eases tension and nervousness. Peppermint promotes mental clarity and feelings of mental fatigue.
LAVENDER- the effects of lavender are calming, soothing, and relaxing; it is considered to be a nervous system relaxant and helps with sleep, tension, restlessness, and irritability.
FRANKINCENSE- this oil is a known natural antidepressant and has great sedative properties.It helps with focus and minimizes distractions. It is a great oil for meditation.
Here are a few different ways to use these oils:
- Can be used for massages around your body.
- In your home with an oil burner or diffuser in order to have aromas around.
- Inhaled by adding a few drops of the oil onto a tissue to keep in your pocket or in jewelry worn.
- Diluted as well; used in your bath.
